Comfortable & Personalized Assisted Living Rooms in Indiana
Different Types of Rooms in Assisted Living Facilities
When choosing an assisted living facility for your loved one, it’s important to understand the various factors that contribute to the overall cost of assisted living. These factors can vary between facilities, but this will definitely help you understand what you’re paying for.
Private Apartments: Independence with Support
Condominiums: Luxurious and Spacious Living
Private Rooms: Personal Space and Shared Experiences
Shared Rooms: Community Living and Affordability
High-Tech Rooms: Safety and Modern Convenience
Memory Care Rooms: Specialized Care for Dementia
Memory care rooms are specially designed for residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia. They offer enhanced safety features, such as secured exits and continuous monitoring. These are staffed with specially trained caregivers. Likewise, the rooms provide a secure senior living environment designed to meet the unique needs of seniors with memory impairments.
How to Choose the Right Assisted Living Room
Assessing Personal Needs & Lifestyle Preferences
a) Individual Care Needs
Each senior has unique health and daily living needs. Assessing the level of medical care, help with daily activities, and any specific requirements like mobility assistance or memory care is crucial. Hence, the chosen room should be able to accommodate the needs of your loved ones effectively.
b) Independence and Lifestyle
Consider how much independence the senior desires and is capable of maintaining. Some may prefer a room that allows them to live as independently as possible, while others might need more support. The living space should also align with their lifestyle, allowing them to continue some engaging assisted living activities they enjoy.
c) Personal Preferences
Seniors should feel at home in their new living space. Factors like room size, the option for personalization, access to outdoor spaces, and proximity to common areas play a significant role in their comfort and happiness.
Cost Considerations & Budgeting
a) Pricing Structure Clarity
Understanding the structure of the assisted living cost of the facility is vital. This includes knowing what the base rate covers – typically room, board, and basic services – and what additional costs might arise for extra care or amenities.
b) Budget and Long-Term Affordability
Evaluate the senior’s budget and financial resources for long-term care. It’s important to choose an assisted living facility that is financially sustainable in the long run, considering potential increases in care needs and associated costs.
c) Comparing Costs and Value
When comparing different facilities, look beyond the base price and be guided by the assisted living cost calculator. Consider what services and amenities are included. Likewise, assess the value offered in terms of care quality, facility maintenance, and resident satisfaction.
Creating a Supportive & Engaging Environment
a) Quality of Care
The level and quality of senior care provided are paramount. This includes the staff’s expertise, the caregiver-to-resident ratio, and the availability of medical and support services tailored to the resident’s needs.
b) Engaging Activities and Social Opportunities
A supportive environment is one that offers various activities and opportunities for seniors’ social interaction. These activities should cater to different interests and abilities, encouraging residents to stay active and engaged.
c) Community and Relationship Building
The sense of community within the facility contributes significantly to a resident’s well-being. A supportive environment fosters strong relationships among residents, staff, and families, creating a warm and welcoming senior living environment.
d) Safety and Accessibility
The facility should prioritize seniors safety and security. This includes secure premises, easy navigation for those with mobility issues, and quick access to emergency services.
Experience Exceptional Assisted Living Rooms at Two Hearts Homes for Seniors

All residents will pay one flat rate regardless of care required (within the scope of our senior living home). Contact us for our prices….

Two Hearts prices Homes for Seniors are similar to other assisted living facilities’ base prices. Our value comes in when comparing our all-inclusive price to other facilities’ a la carte price and level of care price lists. One of the most important questions you should ask any facility you tour is, “What is your caregiver-to-resident ratio?”
It is very common for most assisted living places to have anywhere from a 1:10-1:15 or even 1:20 ratio. If there are 30 residents, that means there are possibly only two caregivers to assist all 30 residents’ needs. At Two Hearts, our ratio during the day is 1 to 5 and at night it is 1 to 8. When it comes to helping your loved one, we believe we are fully equipped with the right team in place in order to provide the care and attention your loved one deserves.
